Abstract
Kata kunci: Note colouring, not angka, pembelajaran musik, solfeggio. ABSTRACT This research was conducted at SDN 2 Mengkendek to improve the numerical notation reading skills of fourth-grade students. The students had never received training in reading numerical notation or basic music theory, and the teacher had only used memorization methods, which were less effective. This study applied the note colouring method based on solfeggio—an approach that combines color-coding on numerical notation with solfeggio exercises to help students more easily recognize and vocalize musical notes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The results showed an increase in students’ interest, motivation, and musical understanding, along with positive responses from both the teacher and students. This method proved to be an effective alternative for music education in elementary schools. Keywords: Note colouring, number notes, music learning, solfeggio.
