Abstract

Metode hand sign merupakan salah satu metode yang dikembangkan oleh Kodaly yang dapat menjadi metode pembelajaran seni musik untuk mengenalkan solmisasi. Pada saat ini, penerapan sistem pembelajaran seni musik bagi beberapa sekolah terbilang belum variatif. Tidak terkecuali Sekolah Luar Biasa. Bernyanyi menjadi hal yang paling umum dilakukan untuk mengajarkan seni musik kepada anak, khususnya anak tunagrahita ringan. Sehingga, “Penerapan metode hand sign dalam pengenalan solmisasi bagi anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB Dharma Wanita Makale” dengan rumusan masalah bagaimana peranan metode hand sign mengenalkan solmisasi bagi anak tunagrahita ringan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah menerapkan metode hand sign mengenalkan solmisasi bagi anak tunagrahita ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Model penelitian tindakan dari Kurt Lewin yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu, tahap perencanaan, tahapan tindakan, tahap pengamatan, dan tahap refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak tunagrahita ringan kelas IX SMP . Berdasarkan hasil analisa data dari lapangan, menunjukkan bahwa metode hand sign efektif dalam mengenalkan solmisasi bagi anak tunagrahita ringan. Pada awal observasi, anak tunagrahita ringan belum mengetahui tentang solmisasi. Pada siklus I, anak mulai terlihat mengetahui tentang solmisasi. Lalu pada siklus II, anak bukan hanya sekedar mengetahui solmisasi tetapi anak mampu untuk membunyikan dengan nada yang tepat walau belum pada semua nada. Kata kunci: Hand Sign, Solmisasi, Tunagrahita Ringan. The hand sign method is one of the methods developed by Kodaly which can be a method of leaming the art of music to introduce solmization. At this time, the application of the music art leaming system for several schools is not varied. The Extraordinaiy School is no exception. Singing is the most common way to teach art music to children, especially children with mild mental retardation. Thus, "The application of the hand sign method in introducing solmization for mild mentally retarded children at SLB Dharma Wanita Makale” with the formulation of the problem of how the hand sign method introduces solmization for children with mild mental retardation. The purpose of this study was to apply the signature method to introduce solmization for children with mild mental retardation. This research uses action research methods with data techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The action research model from Kurt Lewin which consists of stages, namely, the planning stage, the action stage, the observation stage, and the reflection stage. The subjects of this study were mild mentally retarded children in grade IX SMP. Based on the results of data analysis from the field, it shows that the hand sign method is effective in introducing solmization for children with mild mental retardation. At the beginning of the observation, children with mild mental retardation had not been seen about solmization. In cycle I, the child began to appear about solmization. Then in cycle II, the child not only saw the solmization, but the child was able to sound the right tone even tliough not all notes. Keywords: Hand Sign, Solmization, Mild Impairment.
