Abstract

Pokok permasalahan yang diangkat adalah rendahnya minat siswa dalam membaca Alkitab, yang ditandai dengan kurangnya antusiasme, minimnya partisipasi aktif, dan ketidakkonsistenan dalam kegiatan literasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi literasi baca Alkitab dalam meningkatkan minat baca Alkitab siswa kelas XI di SMA Kristen Makale. Penelitian menggunakan teori B.S. Sidjabat tentang minat baca Alkitab. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, wali kelas, dan siswa kelas XI di SMA Kristen Makale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah mengembangkan berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan minat baca Alkitab, antara lain pemberian quis dengan sistem reward, pembentukan kelompok "sharing Firman", penyediaan kertas kerja refleksi, dan penciptaan sistem monitoring harian. Meskipun demikian, penelitian mengidentifikasi tantangan signifikan seperti keterbatasan waktu, fasilitas, dan keengganan siswa untuk mendalami teks yang tidak dipahami. Kata Kunci: Literasi Baca Alkitab, Minat Baca. ABSTRACT The main problem raised is the low interest of students in reading the Bible, which is characterized by a lack of enthusiasm, minimal active participation, and inconsistency in literacy activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Bible reading literacy in increasing the interest in reading the Bible of class XI students at Makale Christian High School. The study uses B.S. Sidjabat's theory on Bible reading interest. The research method was carried out through a qualitative approach with observation data collection techniques and in-depth interviews with Christian Religious Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and class XI students at Makale Christian High School. The results of the study indicate that the school has developed various strategies to increase interest in reading the Bible, including giving quizzes with a reward system, forming "Word sharing" groups, providing reflection worksheets, and creating a daily monitoring system. However, the study identified significant challenges such as limited time, facilities, and students' reluctance to delve into texts that are not understood.
