Abstract
Penelitian ini adanya dilatar belakangi oleh masalah peran guru bagi anak autis, autis merupakan gangguan hambatan atau masalah pada anak, yang dapat mempenagruhi pada bidang kognitif, bahasa dan motorik anak, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru bagi anak autis usia 3-4 tahun di TK Mutiara Kasih Ge’tengan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk menggambarkan peran guru bagi anak autis usia 3-4 tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan 3 informan. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa dari keempat peran yang dilakukan oleh guru yaitu motivator, pembimbing, meningkatkan interaksi sosial, dan pembimbing emosional anak, dapat mengubah perilaku anak autis dari yang tidak mampu berinteraksi, tidak percaya diri, tidak mandiri emosi dan tidak bisa mengelola emosinya, anak sudah bisa meskipun belum 50% ada berubah namun sudah ada 20% perubahan pada anak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peran guru berhasil mengubah perilaku anak autis melalui mengkolaborasikan keempat peran guru. Kata kunci: Autis, Peran Guru. ABSTRACT This researchis motivated by the problem of the role of teachers for autistic children, autism is a disorder or problem in children, which can affect the cognitive, language and motor fields of children, to overcome this problem, this study aims to analyze the role of teachers for autistic children aged 3-4 years at Mutiara Kasih Ge'tengan Kindergarten. The study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the role of teachers for autistic children aged 3-4 years. Data were collected through observation and interviews with 3 informants. The results of the study explain that of the four roles carried out by teachers, namely motivators, guides, increasing social interaction, and emotional guides for children, they can change the behavior of autistic children from being unable to interact, not confident, not emotionally independent and unable to manage their emotions, althoug not yet 50% change, there has been a 20 % change in children. This shows that the role of teachers has succeeded in changing the behavior of autistic children by collaborating the four roles of teachers. Keywords: Autism, Role of Teachers.
