Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian sosial siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 1 Sangalla Selatan VIII dengan melaksanakan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik diskusi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang meliputi dua siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I pertemuan pertama mencapai 30% (kurang) dan pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 52% (cukup). Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan menjadi 78% (baik). Aktivitas siswa pun semakin meningkat, mereka semakin aktif terlibat dan berani mengemukakan pendapat. Oleh karena itu penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik diskusi kelompok terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kepedulian sosial siswa dan mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditentukan. Layanan ini memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk berinteraksi,dan memecahkan masalah secara berkelompok. Kata Kunci : Bimbingan Kelompok, Diskusi, Kepedulian Sosial. ABSTRACT This research aims to increase the social awareness of class VIII B students at SMPN 1 Sangalla Selatan VIII by providing group guidance services using discussion techniques. The method used is the Kemmis and McTaggart model of classroom action research which includes two cycles. Data collection was carried out through observation, questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that in cycle I the first meeting reached 30% (less) and the second meeting increased to 52% (sufficient). In cycle II there was a significant increase to 78% (good). Student activity is increasing, they are becoming more actively involved and dare to express their opinions. Therefore, the application of group guidance services, discussion group techniques, has proven to be effective in increasing students' social awareness and achieving the specified success indicators. This service provides opportunities for students to interact and solve problems in groups. Keywords: Guidance Services, Discussion, Social Awareness.
