Abstract

Keberagaman yang ada di sekolah menimbulkan konflik, salah satunya adalah banyaknya kasus perundungan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa karakter Karakter siswa masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui setelah penerapan materi multikultur karakter toleransi siswa kelas XII meningkat atau tidak. Kresbinol mengemukakan bahwa masyarakat multkikultur relatif memicu konflik dan menimbulkan masalah seperti diskriminasi, salah satu cara untuk menerapkan pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen adalah menggunakan model damai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Aplikasi SPSS versi 25 digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis, pengujian dilakukan dengan uji paired sample test dengan signifikansi 5% maka diperoleh nilai Sig =0,000 < 0,05 dan perbandingan nilai thitung dengan ttabel diperoleh nilai thitung = 8,117 > ttabel = 2,048 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan materi multikultur dapat meningkatkan karakter toleransi siswa kelas XII 4 SMA Kristen Makale. Kata kunci: Materi Multikultur, Karakter, Toleransi, Pendidikan Agama Kristen. The diversity in schools causes conflict, one of which is the many cases of bullying. This show that the students’ character is still lacking. The aim of this research was to find out after implementing multicultural material the tolerance character of class XII students increased or not. Kresbinol stated that multicultural societies relatively trigger conflict and give rise to problems such as discrimination. One way to implement Christian Religious Education teaching is to use a peaceful model. The research method used is quantitative experimentation with a one group pretest-posttest design. The SPSS version 25 application is used to test the hypothesis, the test is carried out using a paired sample test with a significance of 5%, so the value obtained is Sig= 0.000<0.05 and by comparing the value of tcount with ttable, the value of tcount=8.117> ttable= 2.048 is obtained, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that the application of multicultural material can improve the tolerant character of class XII 4 student at Makale Christian High School.
