Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa melalui penerapan metode Word Square dalam pembelajaran Agama Kristen pada siswa kelas 3 UPT SDN 7 Mengkendek. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif, yang ditunjukkan oleh banyaknya siswa yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebesar 70. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart, dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa. Pada pra siklus hanya 28% siswa yang mencapai kriteria tuntas. Setelah penerapan metode Word Square pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 52% kemudian pada siklus II, tingkat ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 75%, sehingga idikator keberhasilan penelitian tercapai. Penerapan metode Word Square terbukti mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa. Kata Kunci : Word Square, Hasil Belajar, Ranah Kognitif. ABSTRACT This study aims to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the Word Square method ini Christian religious education learning for grade 3 students of UPT SDN 7 Mengkendek. The main problem found is the low learning outcomes of students in the cognitive aspect, which is indicated by the large number of students who have not reached the minimum passing grade (KKM) of 70. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, referring to the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model, with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students’ cognitive learning outcomes. In the precycle only 28% of students achieved the completion criteria. After the application of the Word Square method in cycle I the percentage of completion increased to 52% then in cycle II the level of completion increased to 75%, so that the research success indicator was achieved. The application of the Word Square method has been proven to be able to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes. Keywords: Word Square, Learning Outcomes, Cognitive Domain.
