Abstract

Limbong Hermin. Menyusun skripsi ini dengan judul “strategi implementasi manajemen konflik berdasarkan teori Thomas-Kilmaan oleh Pendeta terhadap permasalahan dalam Jemaat di Gunung Sion Church Hotel Sahid”. Masalah yang terjadi di jemaat Gunung Sion Church ialah konflik jemaat muncul dari sikap egois, persaingan, dan penolakan pendapat dalam rapat serta sikap memihak dalam pelayanan. Pendeta berperan penting dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut untuk menjaga keharmonisan jemaat. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi implementasi manajemen konflik berdasarkan teori Thomas-Kilmaan oleh Pendeta terhadap permasalahan dalam jemaat di Gunung Sion church Hotel Sahid. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan merupakan kualitatif deskriptif yakni unutk menggambarkan, menjelaskan dan menjawab persoalan tentang peristiwa dan fenomena, maupun analisis hubungan berbagai variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendeta memahami konflik merupakan bagian esensial dalam kehidupan sosial jemaat dan menjadi peluang untuk pertumbuhan jika dikelola dengan baik. Pendeta juga menjalankan kepemimpinan melayani yang bertanggung jawab dengan mendorong pembinaan karakter jemaat serta membangun solidaritas dan kebersamaan setelah konflik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi implemetasi manajemen konflik berdasarkan teori Thomas-Kilmaan yang diterapkan berjalan namun belum maksimal. Compiled this thesis with the title “Conflict management implementation strategies based on the Thomas-Kilmaan theory by the Pastor against problems in the congregation at Gunung Sion Church Hotel Sahid”. The problem that occurs in the Gunung Sion Church congregation is that congregational conflict arises from selfishness, competition, and rejection of opinions in meetings and partiality in service. The pastor plays an important role in overcoming these problems to maintain congregational harmony. So this study aims to determine the strategy for implementing conflict management based on the Thomas-Kilmaan theory by the Pastor against problems in the congregation at Mount Zion church Hotel Sahid. The research method that the author uses is descriptive qualitative, which is to describe, explain and answer questions about events and phenomena, as well as analyze the relationship between various variables. The results showed that the pastor understands conflict is an essential part of the congregation's social life and becomes an opportunity for growth if managed properly. Pastors also carry out responsible servant leadership by encouraging congregational character building and building solidarity and togetherness after conflict. So it can be concluded that the conflict management implementation strategy based on the Thomas-Kilmaan theory that is applied is running but not maximized.
