Abstract
Kecerdasan Emosi sangat berpengaruh terhadapat Kinerja Guru. Dengan kecerdasan Emosi yang baik, maka akan berdampak pada kinerja guru dan akan lebih baik maksimal dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Namun belum semua guru dapat mengelolah kecerdasan emosi mereka dengan baik. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kecerdasan emosi guru pada SD Kristen Rantepao 5 Toraja Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Kecerdasan emosi dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa kecerdasan emosi sangat berdampak terhadap kinerja guru. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja guru pada SD Kristen Rantepao 5 Toraja Utara belum optimal karena kurangnya pemahaman tentang pentingnya kecerdasan emosi bagi guru dalam dunia pendidikan. Kata Kunci : Kecerdasan Emosi, Kinerja Guru, SD Kristen Rantepao 5 Toraja Utara. ABSTRACT Emotional Intelligence is very influential on Teacher Performance. With good emotional intelligence, it will have an impact on teacher performance and will be maximally better in achieving educational goals. However, not all teachers can manage their emotional intelligence well. The purpose of this study was to determine how the emotional intelligence of teachers at SD Kristen Rantepao 5 North Toraja. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive method. Emotional intelligence can be influenced by extemal factors. From the results of the study, it was found that emotional intelligence had a great impact on teacher performance. It can be concluded that the performance of teachers at the Rantepao 5 North Toraja Christian Elementary School has not been optimal due to a lack of understanding of the importance of emotional intelligence for teachers in the world of education.
