Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatan awal terdapat siswa yang mengalami cacat fisik sehingga siswa tersebut mengalami diskriminasi dari teman sekolah sehingga membuat siswa tersebut tidak ingin lagi ke sekolah dan siswa tersebut sering menanyakan tentang dirinya “mengapa saya berbeda” sehingga siswa tersebut digolongkan ke dalam siswa yang mengalami identity confusion. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan agama Kristen dalam membantu siswa menghadapi identity confusion di SMPN 1 Bangkelekila’. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ialah strategi yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru adalah pendekatan individual seperti memberi perhatian penuh kepada peserta didik, mengobservasi perilaku peserta didik, menyesuaikan metode pendekatan berdasarkan karakteristik peserta didik, membangun hubungan yang baik untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan peserta didik dan pendampingan seperti memberi dukungan, bimbingan, bantuan, pelayanan pastoral terhadap peserta didik yang mengalami identity confusion. Data penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan 3 informan yakni guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, orang tua dan siswa yang mengalami identity confusion. Kata Kunci: Strategi guru Pendidikan agama Kristen, identity confusion ABSTRACT Based on initial obsevation, there are students who have physical disabilitas so that these students experience discrimination from school friends, which makes these students no longer want to go to school and these students often ask them ‘’ why am i different’’ so that these students are classified as students who experience identity confusion. The Purpose of this study is to analyze the strategy of christian religous education teachers in helping students face identity confusion at SMPN 1 Bangkelekila’. This study uses a qualitative case study research method. The results of this study are that the strategies that can be applied by educators are individual approaches such as giving full attention to students, observing student’s behavior, adjusting approach methods based on the characteristics of student, building good relationships to increase students trust and mentoring such as providing support, guidance, asistance and pastoral services to students who experience identity confusion. The data were collected through observation, interviews with 2 informants, namely christian religious education teachers and students who experiense identity confusion.
