Abstract

ABSTRAK Metode punishment and reward merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan oleh guru sekolah minggu di Jemaat Kapolang dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan beribadah bagi remaja. Penulis membahas topik ini karena kurangnya kedisiplinan dalam beribadah bagi remaja dapat dilihat ketika ibadah sementara berlangsung, sebagian dari mereka lebih fokus ke smartphone yang dimiliki tidak hanya itu mereka juga masih mengganggu temannya ketika ibadah sementara beralangsung. Maka dari itu, penulis ingin lebih jauh mengkaji masalah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian di lapangan, metode punishment and reward dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan beribadah bagi remaja di Jemaat Kapolang, hal tersebut dilihat dari ketepatan waktu dalam beribadah, ketaatan, kepatuhan, serta, keberanian berpartisipasi dalam beribadah. Kata Kunci: Kedisiplinan Beribadah, Hukuman, Hadiah, Remaja ABSTRACT The punishment and reward method is one of the methods used by Sunday school teachers at the Kapolang Congregation in improving the discipline of worship for teenagers. The author discusses this topic because the lack of discipline in worship for teenagers can be seen when temporary worship takes place, some of them are more focused on their smartphones, not only that they also still disturb their friends when temporary worship takes place. Therefore, the author wants to further examine the problem. The method used in this study is qualitative research method. Based on research in the field, the punishment and reward method can improve the discipline of worship for adolescents in the Kapolang Congregation, this can be seen from the timeliness of worship, obedience, obedience, and the courage to participate in worship.
