Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena kurangnya disiplin pada sejumlah peserta didik di kelas V UPT SDN 7 Makale Selatan. Yang diduga berkaitan erat dengan teladan orang tua yang diterima oleh anak di rumah. Teladan orang tua merupakan faktor dalam membentuk karakter anak, mengingat keluarga adalah tempat belajar yang pertama dan utama bagi setiap anak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teladan orang tua dalam membentuk disiplin peserta didik di kelas V UPT SDN 7 Makale Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tujuh orang tua peserta didik, tujuh peserta didik kelas V, satu guru wali kelas V dan satu guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta dilengkapi dengan triangulasi sumber, teknik dan waktu untuk menjaga keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teladan orang tua memiliki peran yang berpengaruh signifikan dan nyata dalam membentuk disiplin peserta didik. Kata Kunci : Teladan, Orang Tua, Disiplin. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the phenomenon of a lack of discipline among fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 7 Makale Selatan, a situation suspected to be closely linked to the parental examples children receive at home. Parental example is a key factor in shaping a child's character, given that the family serves as the first and primary learning environment for every child. This study aims to analyze the role of parental example in shaping student discipline in the fifth grade at UPT SDN 7 Makale Selatan. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of seven parents, seven fifth-grade students, the fifth-grade homeroom teacher, and a Christian Religious Education teacher. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman model—comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing—and was supplemented by source, technique, and time triangulation to ensure data validity. The results indicate that parental example plays a significant and tangible role in shaping student discipline. Keywords: Parental, Role Models, Discipline.
