Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya konsentrasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kritesten. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Talking Stick. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dikatakan berhasil apabila 80% (16) siswa telah memperoleh skor indikator konsentrasi belajar minimal kategori baik maupun sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mencapai kategori konsentrasi belajar baik, meningkat dari 20% atau 4 siswa pada pra siklus menjadi 45% atau 9 siswa pada siklus I dan 85% atau 17 siswa pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode pembelajaran Talking Stick pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen kelas VII di SMPN 1 Gandangbatu Sillanan berhasil meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Talking Stick, Konsentrasi Belajar PAK. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low level of student concentration during Christian Religious Education lessons. Addressing this issue, the study aimed to improve student concentration by implementing the Talking Stick learning method. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was employed, conducted over two cycles; each cycle comprised four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was deemed successful if 80% (16) of the students achieved a score within the "good" or "very good" category for learning concentration indicators. The results showed that the percentage of students achieving a "good" level of concentration rose from 20% (4 students) in the pre-cycle stage to 45% (9 students) in Cycle I and 85% (17 students) in Cycle II. Thus, the implementation of the Talking Stick learning method in the 7th-grade Christian Religious Education class at SMPN 1 Gandangbatu Sillanan successfully improved student concentration.
