Abstract
Dewasa awal adalah masa peralihan dari ketergantungan kemasa mandiri, baik dari segi ekonomi, kebebasan menentukan diri sendiri, dan pandandan tentang masa depan sudah lebih realistis. quarter life crisis dalam bahasa Indonesia berarti krisis seperampat abad. Jadi, quarter life crisis adalah fase dimana seseorang pada usia sekitar 18 sampai 30 tahun merasa khawatir, bingung, tidak memiliki arah karena adanya ketidakpastian dalam kelanjutan hidupnya dan overthinking akan masa depan. Menurut Erik Erikson, teori perkembangan emosi dewasa adalah tahap perkembangan psikososial yang disebut “keintiman versus isolasi”, Erikson mengatakan bahwa tugas utama masa dewasa awal adalah membangun hubungan intim dan tidak merasa terisolasi dari orang lain. Keintiman tidak selalu melibatkan romansa, tetapi juga lebih kepada kepedulian terhadap orang lain dan berbagai jati diri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjabarkan dampak quarter life crisis bagi perkembangan emosional alumni IAKN Toraja di tahun 2021. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1). Tidak stabil secara emosional sehingga individu tidak mampu dalam memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi, 2). Kesulitan dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan, 3). Ketidakmampuan dalam memahami dan mengelolah perasaan emosional secara efektif, 4). Terjadinya perubahan hubungan sosial dengan orang disekitar. Kata Kunci: dewasa awal, quarter life crisis, dan emosional. Abstract Early adulthood is a time when people move from being dependent to becoming independent in trems of finances, personal autonomy, and a more realistic outlook on thr future. Quarter life crisis in Indonesian means a quarter of a century crisis. So, quarter life crisis is a phase where a person aged around 18 to 30 years feels worried, confused, has no direction because of uncertainty in the continuation of his life and overthinking about the future. According to Erik Erikson, the theory of adult emotional development is a stage of psychosocial development called "intimacy versus isolation", Erikson said that the main task of early adulthood is to build intimate relationships and not feel isolated from other people. Intimacy does not always involve romance, but is also more about caring for other people and various identities. The aim of this research is to describe the impact of the quarter life crisis on the emotional development of IAKN Toraja alumni in 2021. The results of this research are 1). Emotionally unstable so that the individual is unable to solve the problems faced, 2). Difficulty in making a decision, 3). Inability to understand and manage emotional feelings effectively, 4). There is a change in social relations with the people around you. Keywords: early adulthood, quarter life crisis, and emotional.
