Abstract
Guru berperan membentuk karakter anak dengan mengarahkan peserta didik agar dapat berperilaku lebih baik. Pada konteks ini profil pelajar Pancasila menjadi kompetensi dalam memberikan penguatan karakter bagi anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter pada anak usia dini di TK Astrini Mandetek. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian peserta didik dan guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran guru sebagai pendidik, pengajar, teladan, mediator, fasilitator, motivator, pembimbing dan evaluator dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter bagi anak usia dini. Dalam menjalankan perannya guru sebagai motivator dan pembimbing memberikan konstribusi yang sangat besar dalam pembentukkan karakter bagi anak usia dini. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini, Pendidikan Karakter, Peran Guru. ABSTRACT Teachers play a crucial role in shaping children's character by providing advice and guidance to students to develop better behavior. In this context, the Pancasila student profile serves as a competency in strengthening children's character. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in instilling character education in early childhood at Astrini Mandetek Kindergarten. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were students and classroom teachers. The results demonstrate the role of teachers as educators, instructors, role models, mediators, facilitators, motivators, guides, and evaluators in instilling character education in early childhood. In carrying out their roles, teachers make a significant contribution to character formation in early childhood. Keywords: Early Childhood, Character Education, Teacher Role.
