Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas III UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek terkait dengan penanganan siswa slow learner atau siswa dengan keterlambatan dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas strategi pembelajaran individual dalam mengatasi siswa slow learner kelas III UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dalam penelitian saat ini teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas III UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek yang mengalami slow learner atau lamban belajar. Hasil penelitian pada pra-siklus menunjukan belum ada siswa yang berada pada kategori baik, pada siklus I pertemuan 1 mengalami peningkatan yaitu I atau 25% siswa slow learner berada pada kategori baik, pada pertemuan 2 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 2 atau 50% siswa slow learner berada pada kategori baik, namun belum mencapai indikator yang diharapkan sehingga peneliti melanjutkan pada siklus II dengan peningkatan menjadi 4 atau 100% siswa slow learner berada pada kategori baik. Penelitian diberhentikan karena telah menunjukan peningkatan dari indikator capaian yang ditentukan yaitu 60% dan menunjukan bahwa dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran individual dapat efektif untuk mengatasi siswa slow learner kelas III UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek. ABSTRACT The problem that occurred in class III of UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek was related to handling slow learner or students with delays in following the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of individual learning strategies in addressing slow learners in Class III UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek, This research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation and documentation. The subjects of this research were third-grade students at UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek who were identified as slow learners. The results of the pre-cycle phase showed that the students were not yet categorized as good, with only 1 student or 25% classified as slow learners achieving a good category. In the firs cycle, during the second meeting, the improvement increased to 2 students or 50% in the good category; however, this had not yet reached t he expected indicator. Therefore, the research continuedto the second cycle, with the number of students in the good category increasing to 4 or 100%. The study was concluded as it had reached the determined success indicator of 60%, showing that the application of individual learning strategies was effective in overcoming the problems of slow learners in Class III UPT SDN 8 Mengkendek.
