Abstract
Abstrak Seni musik merupakan media bagi para komponis untuk menuangkan isi pikiran dan perasaan mereka. Untuk mengerti makna musik, diperlukan pemahaman yang mendalam dengan cara menganalisis lagu. Penelitian ini hendak menganalisis lebih dalam untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang struktur dan makna lagu “Doa Seorang Anak”. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan musikologi dan semiotika. Dalam menganalisis struktur lagu, digunakan teori: Prier, Hugh M. Miller, dan Dieter Mack, sedangkan dalam menganalisis lirik lagu digunakan teori semiotika dari Roland Barthes. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh adalah lagu “Doa Seorang Anak” karya Julia Pardede memiliki dua bagian yaitu A dan B, memiliki empat macam pengembangan motif, dua frase dan empat macam kadens. Lagu “Doa Seorang Anak” memiliki makna denotasi dan konotasi yakni orang tua yang sangat menyayangi anaknya melalui pengorbanan dan nasehat yang selalu diberikan kepada anaknya, sehingga penulis lagu yakni Julia sebagai anak ingin menyampaikan terima kasih kepada orang tua melalui lagu dan doa yang dipanjatkan agar orang tua selalu diberikan perlindungan, sedangkan makna mitos lagu ialah mendoakan dan menghormati orang tua dapat mendatangkan kesuksesan bagi anaknya. Kata Kunci: Lagu “Doa Seorang Anak”, Struktur Lagu, Semiotika, Roland Barthes. Abstract Music is a medium for composers to express their thoughts and feelings. To understand the meaning of music, a deep understanding is needed by analyzing songs. This research aims to analyze more deeply to gain knowledge about the structure and meaning of the song "A Child's Prayer". This research uses qualitative literature study research with a musicological and semiotic approach. In analyzing song structure, the theories of: Prier, Hugh M. Miller, and Dieter Mack are used, while in analyzing song lyrics the semiotic theory of Roland Barthes is used. The results of the analysis obtained are that the song "A Child's Prayer" by Julia Pardede has two parts, namely A and B, has four types of motif development, two phrases and four types of cadences. The song "A Child's Prayer" has the denotation and connotation meaning of parents who really love their children through the sacrifices and advice they always give to their children, so the song writer, Julia as a child, wants to express her gratitude to her parents through songs and prayers that are offered so that people Parents are always given protection, while the meaning of the song's myth is that praying for and respecting parents can bring success to their children.
