Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian berawal dari permasalahan mengenai karakter peserta didik, yang pada umumnya peserta didik seharusnya menunjukkan perilaku yang baik terhadap guru atau orang tua di sekolah namun kenyataan yang terjadi bertolak belakang dari yang seharusnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dalam membina karakter kristiani peserta didik. Karakter kristiani dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka mencakup nilai-nilai moral dan spiritual yang dibina berdasarkan kode kehormatan gerakan pramuka yang diharapkan dapat dimiliki oleh setiap anggotanya. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka mengenai kegiatan pramuka yang ada di instansi pendidikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan temuan penting bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka mampu membina karakter kristiani peserta didik yang didasarkan pada kode kehormatan dalam pengembangan kedisiplinan, tanggungjawab, sopan santun, kerja keras. Kegiatan seperti ibadah, pemberian tugas, kemah, latihan rutin, pionering, olahraga, dan bakti sosial terbukti efektif dalam mengintegrasikan karakter kristiani dalam kehidupan peserta didik. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pramuka bukan hanya memperkaya pengalaman belajar namun melatih karakter yang sejalan dengan ajaran kristiani. ABSTRACT This research began with problems regarding the character of students, which in general students should show good behavior towards teachers or parents at school but the reality that occurs is the opposite of what it should be. This research aims to analyze the role of scout extracurricular activities in developing students' Christian character. Christian character in scout extracurricular activities includes moral and spiritual values which are fostered based on the scout movement's code of honor which is expected to be possessed by every member. Through a qualitative approach, this research uses data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, literature study regarding scout activities in educational institutions. The results of this research show important findings that scout extracurricular activities are able to develop students' Christian character which is based on a code of honor in developing discipline, responsibility, good manners, and hard work. Activities such as worship, assignments, camps, routine training, pioneering, sports and social service have proven to be effective in integrating Christian character into students' lives. In this way, scout activities not only enrich the learning experience but also train character that is in line with Christian teachings.
