Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan nilai-nilai Entrepreneurship Kristen menurut Brock Shinen dalam pengelolaan rumah kos di Kelurahan Rante Kalua' serta implikasinya terhadap kesejahteraan penghuni. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan field research. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan membandingkan temuan lapangan dengan teori Entrepreneurship Kristen menurut Brock Shinen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Entrepreneurship Kristen belum sepenuhnya terlaksana. Nilai kejujuran masih terbatas pada tahap awal negosiasi melalui keterbukaan mengenai kondisi, fasilitas, aturan, sistem pembayaran, serta kelebihan dan kelemahan rumah kos, namun belum diterapkan secara konsisten dalam seluruh proses pengelolaan. Selain itu, nilai tanggung jawab dan kepedulian terhadap sesama juga belum sepenuhnya diwujudkan, terutama dalam penyediaan fasilitas dasar dan respons terhadap kebutuhan penghuni. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan rumah kos perlu meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan agar lebih mencerminkan nilai-nilai Entrepreneurship Kristen dan mendukung kesejahteraan penghuni. Kata kunci : Entrepreneurship Kristen, Kesejahteraan, Pengelolaan Kos ABSTRACT This study aims to implement Christian entrepreneurship values as defined by Brock Shinen in the management of a boarding house in Rante Kalua' Village and to assess their impact on the residents' well-being. A qualitative method with a field research approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed by comparing field findings with Brock Shinen's theory of Christian entrepreneurship. The results indicate that the application of Christian entrepreneurship values has not yet been fully realized. The value of honesty remains limited to the initial negotiation stage manifested through transparency regarding conditions, facilities, rules, payment systems, and the boarding house's pros and cons but is not consistently applied throughout the entire management process. Furthermore, the values of responsibility and care for others have not been fully embodied, particularly regarding the provision of basic facilities and responsiveness to residents' needs. Therefore, the management needs to improve service quality to better reflect Christian entrepreneurship values and support the well-being of the residents.
