Abstract

Dalam penulisan skripsi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tarian Ma’ Bugi’ yakni bagaimana analisis makna teologis syair yang terkandung dalam tarian Ma’ Bugi’ bagi warga Jemaat Tina’ Rantetayo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap analisis makna teologis syair yang terkandung dalam tarian Ma’ Bugi’ bagi warga Jemaat Tina’ Rantetayo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika. Melalui hasil penelitian analisis makna teologis syair yang terdapat dalam tarian Ma’ Bugi’ ialah sebagai salah bentuk cara umat percaya untuk berdoa, mengucap syukur dan berterima kasih kepada Tuhan seperti ketika ada syukuran rumah tongkonan, penahbisan gedung gedung dan acara pemerintahan sebagai bentuk ungkapan syukur atas kasih dan perlindungan yang diberikan oleh Tuhan serta berkat yang melimpah kepada masyarakat Toraja, yang diakui sebagai anugerah yang layak disyukuri karena itu semua semata-mata dari Tuhan. Kata Kunci: Makna, Ma’ Bugi’, Nyanyian. ABSTRACT This thesis is motivated by the Ma’ Bugi’ dance, namely how to analyze the theological meaning of the poerty contained in the Ma’ Bugi’ dance for the mambers of the Tina’ Rantetayo Congregation. This study uses a qualitative method with a semiotic approach. Through the results of the research analysis of the theological meaning of the poerty contained in the Ma’ Bugi’ dance, it is on of the ways believers to pray, express gratitude and give thanks to God, such as when there is a thanks giving for a Tongkonan house, the dedication of buildings and government events as form of expression of gratitude for the love and protection given by God and abundant blessings to the Toraja people, which are recognized as gifts that are worthy of gratitude because they are all solely from God.
