Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi kepemimpinan pemuda dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan di Jemaat Pniel Ranteorongan berdasarkan teori Servant Leadership. Permasalahan penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kualitas pelayanan pemuda yang disebabkan kurangnya komunikasi antara pemimpin dan pemuda, minimnya keterlibatan pemuda dalam pelayanan, serta terbatasnya perhatian, dukungan, dan pelatihan dari jemaat. Kondisi ini menyebabkan kesenjangan dengan lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan SERVQUAL, yaitu Reliability, Responsiveness, Empathy, Assurance, dan Tangibles. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lima strategi Servant Leadership dari John C. Maxwell telah diterapkan dengan tingkat keberhasilan bervariasi. Tiga strategi belum maksimal: (1) melihat dan membentuk masa depan karena tidak ada visi tertulis dan perencanaan jangka panjang; (2) melibatkan dan mengembangkan orang lain karena keterlibatan bersifat insidental tanpa program mentoring sistematis; (3) menghargai hasil dan hubungan karena tidak ada sistem penghargaan formal. Dua strategi sudah maksimal: (1) terus memperbarui diri melalui evaluasi rutin; (2) mewujudkan nilai-nilai melalui integritas dan keteladanan konsisten. Kepemimpinan pemuda berbasis Servant Leadership berperan penting meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan, namun memerlukan penguatan pembinaan terstruktur, sistem mentoring, dan dukungan institusional gereja. ABSTRAK This study aims to analyze youth leadership strategies in improving service quality at Pniel Ranteorongan Congregation based on Servant Leadership theory. The research problem is motivated by low quality of youth service caused by lack of communication between leaders and youth, minimal youth involvement in service, and limited attention, support, and training from the congregation. This condition creates a gap with the five dimensions of SERVQUAL service quality: Reliability, Responsiveness, Empathy, Assurance, and Tangibles. The research uses qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman model through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that five Servant Leadership strategies from John C. Maxwell have been implemented with varying levels of success. Three strategies are not yet optimal: (1) seeing and shaping the future due to absence of written vision and long-term planning; (2) engaging and developing others due to incidental involvement without systematic mentoring programs; (3) valuing results and relationships due to absence of formal recognition system. Two strategies are already optimal: (1) continuously reinventing through routine evaluation; (2) embodying values through integrity and consistent exemplary leadership. Youth leadership based on Servant Leadership plays important role in improving service quality, but requires strengthening structured coaching, mentoring systems, and institutional church support.
