Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas dampak permainan Lego terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Mebali. Permasalahan utama adalah ketidakjelasan sejauh mana bermain Lego dapat merangsang aspek kognitif pada rentang usia tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak permainan Lego terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak pada kelompok usia tersebut. Landasan teori mengacu pada konsep perkembangan kognitif Jean Piaget serta prinsip belajar melalui bermain. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan Lego berdampak postif terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Mebali. Permainan Lego telah membantu anak meningkatkan kreativitas, logika, daya ingat, serta kemampuan representasi simbolik. Anak juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi, fokus yang baik, serta ketekunan ketika menghadapi kesulitan konstruksi. Kata kunci:Lego, kognitif anak, PAUD, permainan edukatif. ABSTRACT This study examines the impact of Lego play on the cognitive development of children aged 5–6 years at TK Negeri Pembina Mebali. The main issue addressed is the limited clarity regarding the extent to which Lego activities can stimulate cognitive aspects within this age range. The study aims to analyze the effects of Lego play on the cognitive development of children in this group. The theoretical framework refers to Jean Piaget’s concept of cognitive development and the principles of learning through play. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that Lego play has a positive influence on the cognitive development of children aged 5–6 years at TK Negeri Pembina Mebali. Lego activities support the enhancement of creativity, logical thinking, memory, and symbolic representation skills. Children also demonstrated strong enthusiasm, good focus, and persistence when facing construction challenges. Keywords: Lego, child cognition, early childhood education, educational play.
