Abstract
Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji tentang peran supervisi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen di UPT SDN 25 Mengkendek. Supervisi kepala sekolah dianggap penting untuk mengawasi, membimbing, serta mengevaluasi guru agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang didukung melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi untuk keperluan mengumpulkan data. Berbagai informan yang ada pada penelitian ini diantaranya yaitu ada kepala sekolah serta guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang ada di UPT SDN 25 Mangkendek. Pada keperluan melakukan analisis data tahapnya yaitu melalui reduksi data, selanjutnya disajikan dan disimpulkan. Sesudah penelitian dilakukan diketahui jika terdapat dampak positif dari supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan disiplin, kesiapan perangkat pembelajaran, dan kreativitas metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru. Efektivitas dari supervisi terbukti meningkatkan kinerja dan profesionalisme guru yang akhirnya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan menjadikan pembelajaran di sekolah lebih optimal. Jadi bisa ditarik kesimpulan jika peran kepala sekolah menjadi supervisor begitu strategis untuk memajukan mutu pembelajaran melalui peningkatan kinerja para guru. ABSTRACK The purpose of this research is to examine the role of the school principal's supervision in improving the performance of Christian Religious Education teachers at UPT SDN 25 Mengkendek. The principal's supervision is considered important for overseeing, guiding, and evaluating teachers to enhance the quality of learning in schools. This study uses a qualitative method supported by interviews, documentation, and observation to collect data. Various informants involved in this research include the school principal and Christian Religious Education teachers at UPT SDN 25 Mengkendek. The data analysis process involves data reduction, followed by presentation and conclusion. After conducting the study, it was found that there are positive impacts from the principal's supervision in improving discipline, readiness of learning tools, and creativity in teaching methods by teachers. The effectiveness of supervision has proven to enhance teacher performance and professionalism, which ultimately improves the quality of education and makes school learning more optimal. Therefore, it can be concluded that the role of the principal as a supervisor is very strategic for advancing the quality of learning through improving teacher performance.
