Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik disiplin rohani serta kontribusinya terhadap pertumbuhan iman siswa di UPT SMK Negeri 1 Tana Toraja. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari tiga guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan delapan siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada teori perkembangan iman menurut James W. Fowler, khususnya tahap synthetic-conventional faith, di mana iman remaja cenderung dibentuk oleh pengaruh lingkungan sosial dan otoritas yang mereka percayai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik disiplin rohani terbagi dalam tiga bentuk utama: disiplin batiniah (doa dan pembacaan Alkitab pribadi), disiplin lahiriah (ibadah rutin dan literasi Alkitab), serta disiplin komunal (pelayanan ibadah bersama). Ketiga bentuk ini berperan dalam menumbuhkan karakter spiritual dan membangun kesadaran iman siswa. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti kurangnya konsistensi, rendahnya kesadaran spiritual pribadi, serta motivasi yang bersifat eksternal masih menjadi hambatan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan strategi pembinaan rohani yang lebih personal, kreatif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan remaja agar pertumbuhan iman siswa dapat berlangsung secara utuh dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Disiplin Rohani, Pertumbuhan Iman, Siswa SMK, Pendidikan Kristen ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the practice of spiritual discipline and its contribution to the growth of students' faith at the Technical Implementation Unit of State Vocational High School 1 Tana Toraja. The approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of three Christian Religious Education teachers and eight tenth-grade Computer and Network Engineering students. This study is based on James W. Fowler's theory of faith development, specifically the synthetic-conventional faith stage, in which adolescents' faith tends to be shaped by the influence of their social environment and the authorities they trust. The results show that the practice of spiritual discipline is divided into three main forms: inner discipline (prayer and personal Bible reading), outer discipline (regular worship and Bible literacy), and communal discipline (joint worship services). These three forms play a role in developing spiritual character and building students' awareness of faith. However, challenges such as lack of consistency, low personal spiritual awareness, and external motivation remain obstacles. Therefore, a more personalized, creative, and relevant spiritual development strategy is needed to ensure students' faith growth is holistic and sustainable.
