Abstract
Vincen Tonapa (1020218361) di bawah bimbingan Dr. Joni Tapingku, M.Th. (Pembimbing I) dan Marthinus Kabe’ M.Pd.K. (Pembimbing II) menulis skripsi dengan judul “Analisis Makna Ukiran Pa’tedong dengan Menggunakan Teori Simbol dan Implementasinya Bagi Media Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kristen”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna ukiran Pa’tedong berdasarkan teori simbol Clifford Geertz agar dapat diimplementasikan sebagai media pembelajaran pendidikan Kristen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, serta wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh adat dan tokoh masyarakat untuk memperoleh data terkait masalah yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukiran Pa’tedong mengandung makna dan simbol kebersamaan, kemakmuran, penghargaan, dan pengorbanan. Simbol-simbol ini dapat diimplementasikan dalam media pembelajaran Pendidikan Kristen. Kata Kunci: Makna, simbol, ukiran Pa’tedong, Pendidikan Kristen. ABSTRACT Vincen Tonapa (1020218361) under the supervision of Dr. Joni Tapingku, M.Th. (Supervisor I) and Marthinus Kabe’, M.Pd.K. (Supervisor II), wrote a thesis titled “Analysis of the Meaning of Pa’tedong Carvings Using Symbolic Theory and Its Implementation in Christian Education Learning Media.” This study aims to analyze the meaning of Pa’tedong carvings based on Clifford Geertz’s symbol theory so that they can be implemented as educational media for Christian education. This study employs a qualitative method with a field research approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and community members to obtain data related to the research problem. The results of the study indicate that Pa’tedong carvings contain meanings and symbols of unity, prosperity, appreciation, and sacrifice.
