Abstract

Delfiana Putri, NIM 1020218869, pada tahun 2025 menyusun skripsi dengan bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik melalui penerapan kebiasaan 5S (Salam, Sapa, Senyum, Sopan, dan Santun) di lingkungan sekolah. Karakter peserta didik merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam dunia pendidikan, yang tidak hanya menekankan pada ranah kognitif, tetapi juga mencakup aspek afektif dan psikomotorik. Oleh karena itu, guru PAK dituntut untuk menjalankan perannya secara maksimal, bertanggung jawab, serta memiliki strategi yang tepat dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai Kristiani yang mencerminkan pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAK memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik, yakni sebagai pendidik, pelatih, motivator, dan teladan melalui penerapan kebiasaan 5S, baik dalam kehidupan di sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat. Kebiasaan 5S terbukti sebagai metode yang konkret dan efektif dalam membentuk sikap positif serta menumbuhkan empati peserta didik. Kata kunci: Peran guru PAK, kebiasaan 5S, karakter. ABSTRACT Delfiana Putri, Student ID 1020218869, in 2025 wrote a thesis aiming to analyze the role of Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers in shaping students' character through the implementation of the 5S habits (Salute, Greet, Smile, Polite, and Courteous) within the school environment. Student character is a crucial aspect in the field of education, which not only emphasizes the cognitive domain but also includes affective and psychomotor aspects. Therefore, CRE teachers are required to carry out their roles optimally, responsibly, and with appropriate strategies in instilling Christian values that reflect character development. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The research findings indicate that CRE teachers play a significant role in the development of students' character—namely as educators, trainers, motivators, and role models—through the application of the 5S habits, both in school life and in the community. The 5S habits have proven to be a concrete and effective method in fostering positive attitudes and cultivating students' empathy. Keywords: Role of CRE teachers, 5S habits, character.
