Abstract
Peran karya sastra dalam memberikan jawaban terhadap fenomena sosial lewat refleksi sastra merupakan cara sastrawan dalam menyalurkan ide dan pemikiran melalui karya karyanya. Novel Bungkam Suara karya dari J.S. Khairen merupakan novel yang menyimpan unsur intrinsik berupa konsep manajemen konflik yang memiliki relevansi dengan fenomena konflik dalam kehidupan sosial. Tujuan penelitian berfokus pada prinsip, strategi dan konsep transformasional konflik dalam novel Bungkam Suara, sebagai alternatif baru pendekatan manajemen konflik dalam bidang kesusastraan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan pendekatan studi pustaka serta menggunakan teknik analisis konten. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat karakteristik negosiator dan manajerial dalam tokoh seperti Timmy, Rango Yatmerak,Prof Terang Setiawan, Taly, dan Netizen, alur cerita secara sistematis mengadopsi alur campuran terlihat dari episode awal kondisi Timmy yang menerima tindakan diskriminasi dari lingkungan sosial, lalu mengisahkan kilas balik Timmy yang beraliansi dengan kekuasaan hingga keberhasilan Timmy dalam mengembalikan kondisi negara NKAL. Tema novel diadaptasi melalui kritik sosial terhadap penguasa atas gaya kepemimpinan dan dampaknya bagi domain kekuasaan. Gaya bahasa yang diadaptasi penulis novel merupakan gaya bahasa simile dan simbolik. Latar belakang novel berada di Pasar Neang, Istana Kerajaan, Reruntuhan Talas dan Distrik Neang. Seluruh elemen tersebut memiliki kesinambungan terdapat konsep manajemen konflik dalam novel bungkam suara dan bermanfaat sebagai refleksi dalam menanggapi dinamika sosial yang terjadi. Kata Kunci : Konflik, Konsep Manajemen Konflik, Novel Bungkam Suara ABSTRACT The role of literary works in providing answers to social phenomena through literary reflection is a way for authors to channel their ideas and thoughts through their works. The novel "Bungkam Suara" by J.S. Khairen is a novel that contains intrinsic elements in the form of conflict management concepts that are relevant to conflict phenomena in social life. The purpose of this research is to focus on the principles, strategies, and transformational conflict concepts in the novel "Bungkam Suara" as a new alternative approach to conflict management in the field of literature. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method and literature study approach, as well as content analysis technique. The results of this study show that there are negotiator and managerial characteristics in characters such as Timmy, Rango Yatmerak, Prof. Terang Setiawan, Taly, and Netizen, the plot systematically adopts a mixed plot seen from the initial episode of Timmy's condition who receives discriminatory treatment from the social environment, then tells the flashback of Timmy's alliance with power until Timmy's success in restoring the condition of the NKAL country. The theme of the novel is adapted through social criticism of the ruler's leadership style and its impact on the domain of power. The language style adopted by the novelist is simile and symbolic language style. The background of the novel is set in Pasar Neang, Royal Palace, Talas Ruins, and Neang District. All these elements have continuity with the concept of conflict management in the novel "Bungkam Suara" and are beneficial as a reflection in responding to the social dynamics that occur.
