Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi strategi pengembangan kecerdasan spritual dan emosional yang efektif dalam mewujudkan pembentukan karakter siswa di SMTK Kharisma Palopo. Penelitian dikakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan langsung, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Pemilihan informan dilakukan secara purposive, yaitu: Kepala Sekolah dari SMTK Kharisma Palopo, Waka Kurikulum, Kepala Asrama, Pengurus Perpustakaan, Wali Kelas X, Wali kelas XI dan beberapa siswa. Analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis domain, komponensial dan tema budaya. Prosesnya dilakukan dengan mereduksi data, penyajian data dan menverifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan terprogram guru Bimbingan Konseling bersama tim konselor, pembelajaran dari seluruh mata pelajaran keagamaan, dan praktek pelayanan gerejawi dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kecerdasan spiritual dan emosional. Kegiatan guru Bimbingan Konseling bersama tim dan pembelajaran mata pelajaran keagamaan; dua program yang sangat potensial berkontribusi bagi pengembangan SQ dan EQ, namun keduanya memerlukan peningkatan mutu layanan, yaitu pelaksanaan tindak lanjut melalui mentoring dan evaluasi yang tepat. Praktek pelayanan gerejawi menjadi penting sebab merupakan penerapan dari seluruh materi pelajaran keagamaan, juga memerlukan perbaikan pada bagian persiapan dan evaluasi kegiatan praktek. Strategi pengembangan kecerdasan spritual dan emosional melalui kegiatan ektrakurikuler seperti: kegiatan ibadah sekolah, kegiatan seminar, kegiatan kerja rutin, latihan keterampilan hidup mandiri, kegiatan Organisasi Siswa, dan membudayakan sikap ramah tamah juga potensial mewujudkan sasaran pendidikan karakter di SMTK Kharisma Palopo. Ibadah-ibadah sekolah dan seminar memerlukan pelaksanaan mentoring yang efektif, sedangkan kegiatan kerja rutin, kegiatan Organisasi Siswa, dan pembekalan hidup mandiri memerlukan pengarahan dan pendampingan yang efektif dalam proses kegiatan. Selanjutnya budaya ramah tamah dalam lingkungan sekolah memerlukan mentoring yang optimal. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan-kegiatan sekolah yang berpotensi mengembangkan SQ dan EQ peserta didik menemui kendala-kendala baik yang disebabkan oleh faktor internal maupun oleh faktor eksternal yang memerlukan langkah-langkah bijaksana untuk mengatasinya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, jika seluruh kegiatan sekolah dilaksanakan secara maksimal dan efektif serta semua kendala tertangani dengan bijak, maka dapat ditemukan strategi pengembangan SQ dan EQ yang optimal dan efektif bagi pendidikan karakter di SMTK Kharisma Palopo. ABSTRACT The study was conducted to evaluate the implementation of strategies for developing spiritual and emotional intelligence that are effective in realizing the formation of student character in the SMTK Kharisma Palopo. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques are done by direct observation, interviews and documentation studies. The selection of informants was done purposively, namely: Principal from SMTK Kharisma Palopo, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Head of Boarding House, Library Management, Class X Guardian, Class XI Guardian and several students. Data analysis was carried out through domain analysis, compounding and cultural themes. The process is done by reducing data, presenting data and verifying data. The results showed that the counseling guidance teacher's programmed activities with the counselor team, leaming from all religious subjects, and church Service practices could contribute to the development of spiritual and emotional intelligence. Counseling Guidance teacher activities with the team and leaming religious subjects; two programs that have the potential to contribute to the development of SQ and EQ, but both require improvement in Service quality, namely the implementation of follow-up through appropriate mentoring and evaluation. The practice of ecclesiastical Services is important because it is the application of all religious subject matter, also requires improvement in the preparation and evaluation of practical activities. Strategies for developing spiritual and emotional intelligence through extracurricular activities such as: school worship activities, seminar activities, routine work activities, independent life skills training activities, student organization activities, and cultivating suave attitudes also have the potential to realize the goals of character education in the SMTK Kharisma Palopo. School Services and seminars require effective mentoring, while routine work activities, Student Organization activities, and the provision of independent living require effective direction and assistance in the activity process. Furthermore suave culture in the school environment requires optimal mentoring. The results also show that school activities that have the potential to develop SQ and EQ leamers encounter obstacles both caused by internal factors and extemal factors that require wise steps to overcome them. Based on these results, if all school activities are carried out optimally and effectively and all obstacles are handled wisely, then it can be found an optimal and effective SQ and EQ development strategy for character education in the SMTK Kharisma Palopo.
