Abstract
Eva Palangiran (1020197228) in 2023 compiled a thesis entitled analysis of teacher perceptions about the learning process CRE through reference to the independent curriculum at the Makale Christian Middle School Mobilizing School. Supervised DR. Setrianto Tarrapa’ M.Pd.K as supervisor I and Neni Riskayanti M.Pd as supervisor II. This research departs from problems regarding teacher’s understanding of the independent curriculum, some schools and teachers implement an independent curriculum but they do not understand how an independent curriculum actually is. Considering that this curriculum includes the latest curriculum reference so that it’s impelementation is not optimal. The independent curriculum is a new approach in the education sysitem that aims to provide freedom of creativity and independence to students in the learning process, specifically learning Christianity. This study aims to describe the teacher’s perception of the learning process of CRE through an independent curriculum reference in Makale Crsitian Middle School driving schools. To gain an-depth understanding of the independent curriculum at Makale Cristian Middle School this research was conducted using a qualitative method with a field study approach. The results of the research show an important finding that teachers need a paradigm shift meaning that in the teaching and learning approach teachers and education staff need to let go of a teacher-centered aprroach and switch to a student-centered approach. This paradigm shift may require time and appopriate support to be actively implemented.
