Abstract
ABSTRAK Frans Geril Batara, 20201862 51, menyusun skripsi dengan judul Kajian Teologis Makna Ibadah Rabu Abu dan Implikasinya Bagi Warga Gereja Toraja jemaat Limbong Klasis Pangala' Utara. Ibadah adalah tempat berhimpun jemaat kepada Tuhan yang menyatakan persekutuan dengan Tuhan dan sesama saudara seiman, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis Makna Ibadah Rabu Abu di Jemaat Limbong Klasis Pangala' Utara. Dalam penulisan ini, penulis meninjau bagaimana dasar dan tujuan penelitian sebagaimana penulis melihat sebuah metode yang lebih baik digunakan yaitu metode penelitian Kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa "kajian teologis makna ibadah rabu abu dan implikasinya bagi warga Gereja Toraja Jemaat Limbong Klasis Pangala' Utara" adalah sebuah pertobatan dan penyerahan diri kepada Tuhan, sebagaimana yang terdapat dalam Kitab mazmur 102:10 bahwa kata abu di pakai sebagai simbol kesedihan akan sebuah penyesalan dan pertobatan. Meskipun Jemaat Limbong suda memahami tentang makna ibadah rabu abu akan tetapi masih bayak anggota jemaat yang beranggapan bahwa ibadah rabu abu hanya sebagai formalitas saja. Kata Kunci: Rabu Abu, Abu, Ibadah, Implikasi ABSTRACT Frans Geril Batara, 20201862 51, compiled a thesis entitled A Theological Study ofthe Meaning ofAsh Wednesday Worship and Its Implications for the Toraja Church Residents ofthe Limbong Klasis Pangala' Utara congregation. Worship is a place where the congregation gathers to God who declares fellowship with God andfellow believers, the purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning ofAsh Wednesday Worship in the Limbong Klasis Congregation of North Pangala'. In this paper, the author reviews the basis and objectives ofthe research as the author sees a better method to use, namely the qualitative research method. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that "the theological study of the meaning of Ash Wednesday worship and its implications for the members of the Toraja Church of the Limbong Klasis Pangala' Utara" is aform of repentance and surrender to God. as contained in the Book of Psalm 102:10 that the word ashes is used as a symbol of sorrow for a regret and repentance. Although the Limbong Congregation already understands the meaning ofAsh Wednesday worship, there are still many members of the congregation who think that Ash Wednesday worship is only a formality Key word: Ash Wednesday, Ashes, Worship, Implications
