Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya keaktifan belajar siswa sebagai dampak dari penggunaan pendekatan yang hanya Surface Learning. Berdasarkan Permendikdasmen Nomor 13 Tahun 2025, UPT SMA 1 Tana Toraja mengimplementasikan pendekatan Deep Learning dalam penyelenggaraan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendekatan belajar berbasis Deep Learning dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa di UPT SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja melalui metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Deep Learning telah diimplementasikan melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan refleksi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada prinsip mindful, meaningful, dan joyful. Implementasi tersebut berdampak positif terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya perhatian, partisipasi, keberanian bertanya dan berpendapat, serta kerja sama dalam pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, pengimplementasiannya belum sepenuhnya optimal karena beberapa faktor yang menghambat meliputi kurangnya pengembangan kompetensi guru secara berkelanjutan, keterbatasan pemahaman guru tentang Deep Learning, keterbatasan waktu, kebiasaan belajar pasif, rendahnya kemandirian belajar, perbedaan kesiapan peserta didik, serta gangguan perilaku sebagian siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Deep Learning berkontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa, meskipun diperlukan upaya berkelanjutan agar implementasinya berjalan lebih efektif dan optimal. Kata Kunci: Deep Learning, Keaktifan Belajar Siswa, Pendidikan Agama Kristen ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the issue of low student engagement in learning as a result of the use of a Surface Learning. Based on Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 13 of 2025, the Tana Toraja State Senior High School No. 1 implemented the Deep Learning approach in its teaching and learning activities. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the implementation of the Deep Learning-based approach in enhancing student engagement at UPT SMA Negeri 1 Tana Toraja using qualitative research methods. The results indicate that the Deep Learning approach was implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection, all of which were guided by the principles of mindfulness, meaningfulness, and joy. This implementation had a positive impact on student engagement, as evidenced by increased attention, participation, willingness to ask questions and express opinions, and collaboration in the learning process. However, the implementation has not yet been fully optimized due to several hindering factors, including a lack of ongoing teacher competency development, limited teacher understanding of Deep Learning, time constraints, passive learning habits, low levels of independent learning, varying levels of student readiness, and behavioral disruptions among some students. This study concludes that the deep learning approach contributes significantly to increasing student engagement in learning, although ongoing efforts are needed to ensure its implementation is more effective and optimal.
