Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan mengelola emosi siswa yang ditandai dengan kesulitan dalam mengenali, mengendalikan, dan mengekspresikan emosi secara tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik sosiodrama terhadap kemampuan mengelola emosi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Mengkendek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 16 siswa, terdiri atas 8 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 8 siswa kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket kemampuan mengelola emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengelola emosi siswa pada kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik sosiodrama. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,012 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H₁) diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik sosiodrama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan mengelola emosi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Mengkendek. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low emotional management ability of students, as indicated by difficulties in recognizing, controlling, and expressing emotions appropriately. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of group guidance services using the sociodrama technique on the emotional management ability of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Mengkendek. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The participants consisted of 16 students selected through purposive sampling, including 8 students in the experimental group and 8 students in the control group. Data were collected using an emotional management ability questionnaire. The results showed that students' emotional management ability in the experimental group improved after receiving group guidance services using the sociodrama technique. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test indicated an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.012 < 0.05. This means that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that group guidance services using the sociodrama technique have a significant effect on improving the emotional management ability of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Mengkendek.
