Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan mengenal warna anak kelas B3 TK Negeri 1 Makale yang masih berada pada kategori mulai berkembang, hasil observasi yang menunjukkan bahwa dari 20 anak terdapat 2 anak sudah ada pada kategori berkembang sangat baik dan 18 anak yang masih butuh bimbingan karena anak belum mampu untuk menyebutkan, mengklasifikasikan warna dasar dan sekunder serta mengurutkan benda berdasarkan warna sedangkan 2 anak hal ini disebab guru yang hanya mengandalkan gambar saat mengajarkan warna sehingga membuat anak merasa bosan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal warna anak melalui penerapan media colour board. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 anak. Setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan mengenal warna anak pada setiap siklus. Pada tahap pra-siklus, anak yang mencapai kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) hanya 10%. Setelah penerapan media colour board pada siklus I, kategori tersebut meningkat menjadi 55%, dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 80% setelah di lakukan tindakan perbaikan dengan membuat media untuk setiap anak. Hasil tersebut telah melampaui indikator keberhasilan penelitian yang ditetapkan, yaitu minimal 75% anak mencapai kategori berkembang sangat baik. Kata kunci: colour board, mengenal warna. ABSTRACT The problem addressed in this study was that the color recognition ability of children in Class B3 at TK Negeri 1 Makale was still at the Beginning to Develop level. Observations showed that, of the 20 children, only 2 (10%) had reached the Very Well Developed (VWD) category, while the remaining 18 children still required guidance because they were not yet able to identify, classify primary and secondary colors, or arrange objects based on color. This condition was attributed to the teacher's reliance on pictures as the primary instructional media, which caused the children to become bored. Therefore, this study aimed to improve children's color recognition ability through the implementation of colour board media. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in two cycles with 20 children as the research subjects. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The findings revealed a continuous improvement in the children's color recognition ability. In the pre-cycle stage, only 10% of the children achieved the Very Well Developed category. After the implementation of the colour board media in Cycle I, this percentage increased to 55%, and it further increased to 80% in Cycle II after improvements were made by providing an individual colour board for each child. These results exceeded the predetermined success indicator of the study, which required at least 75% of the children to achieve the Very Well Developed category. It can be concluded that the implementation of colour board media effectively improved the color recognition ability of children in Class B3 at TK Negeri 1 Makale.
