Abstract
Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas VII B di SMP Negeri 1 Makale melalui implementasi layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Window Shopping. Minat baca siswa yang masih rendah menjadi latar belakang utama penelitian. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII B yang berjumlah (38) orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket minat baca, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan layanan, dan catatan anekdot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik Window Shopping dapat meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Pada kondisi awal, minat baca siswa berada pada kategori rendah. Setelah diberikan intervensi pada siklus I, rata-rata skor minat baca meningkat menjadi (2,53), dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi (2,97). Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik Window Shopping mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang dinamis, interaktif, dan kolaboratif sehingga mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam kegiatan membaca. ABSTRACT This Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) aims to enhance the reading interest of Grade VII B students at SMP Negeri 1 Makale through the implementation of group guidance services using the "Window Shopping" technique. The study was motivated by the students' initially low level of reading interest. The research was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were the 38 students of Grade VII B. Data collection involved reading interest questionnaires, service implementation observation sheets, and anecdotal records. The results indicate that group guidance services utilizing the “Window Shopping” technique successfully increased students' reading interest. Initially, the students' reading interest fell into the low category. Following the intervention in Cycle I, the average reading interest score rose to 2.53, and it further increased to 2.97 in Cycle II. This improvement demonstrates that the “Window Shopping” technique fosters a dynamic, interactive, and collaborative learning atmosphere, thereby encouraging active student engagement in reading activities.
