Abstract

Motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) seringkali dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas. Namun, di lapangan masih ditemukan siswa yang kurang antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, yang diduga berkaitan dengan manajemen kelas yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan pengelolaan kelas dengan motivasi belajar PAK pada siswa kelas VII di UPT SMPN 1 Masanda. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII berjumlah 50 orang, dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana, uji t, uji determinasi (R²), dan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan pengelolaan kelas dengan motivasi belajar PAK siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi Pearson sebesar 0,475 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), serta nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,225. Artinya, sebesar 22,5% variasi dalam motivasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh keterampilan pengelolaan kelas, sementara sisanya 77,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Dengan demikian, semakin baik keterampilan guru dalam mengelola kelas, semakin tinggi pula motivasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci: keterampilan pengelolaan kelas, motivasi belajar, Pendidikan Agama Kristen ABSTRACT Students’ learning motivation in Christian Religious Education (PAK) is often influenced by various factors, one of which is the teacher’s classroom management skills. However, in practice, many students are still found to be less enthusiastic during learning activities, which is suspected to be related to less optimal classroom management. This study aims to examine the relationship between classroom management skills and learning motivation in PAK among seventh-grade students at UPT SMPN 1 Masanda. The research employed a quantitative approach using an associative method. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students, totaling 50, with a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression, t-tests, the coefficient of determination (R²), and Pearson correlation tests. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between classroom management skills and students’ motivation to learn PAK. This is evidenced by a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.475 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), with an R² value of 0.225. This means that 22.5% of the variation in students’ learning motivation is influenced by classroom management skills, while the remaining 77.5% is influenced by other factors. Thus, the better the teacher’s classroom management, the higher the students’ learning motivation. Keywords: classroom management skills, learning motivation, Christian Religious Education
