Abstract
Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan kurangnya keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV di UPT SDN 004 Mengkendek pada pembelajaran PAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode show and tell dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV UPT SDN 004 Mengkendek. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus. Aspek keterampilan berbicara siswa yang diukur meliputi ketepatan bunyi-bunyi vocal, ketepatan dalam pemilihan kata, menyusun kalimat dengan baik dan kelancaran berbicara. Berdasarkan penelitian, pada siklus I keterampilan berbicara siswa terdapat 4 siswa dalam kategori baik dan 5 siswa dalam kategori sangat baik. Pada siklus II, keterampilan berbicara siswa terdapat 6 siswa dalam kategori baik dan 7 siswa dalam kategori sangat baik, Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode show and tell dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. ABSTRACT The results of initial observations indicate a lack of speaking skills of fourth grade students at UPT SDN 004 Mengkendek in PAK learning. This study aims to apply the show and tell method in improving the speaking skills of fourth grade students of UPT SDN 004 Mengkendek, Jerus research used is classroom action research (PTK) with 2 cycles. Aspects of students' speaking skills measured include the accuracy of vowel sounds, accuracy in word choice, composing sentences well and fluency of speaking, Based on the research, in cycle I students' speaking skills there are 4 students in the good category and 5 students in the very good category, In cycle II, students' speaking skills there are 6 students in the good category and 7 students in the very good category, So it can be concluded that the application of the show and tell method can improve students' speaking skills.
