Abstract
Siska (2020154273), compile a thesis entitled Theological Study of the Meaning of Marriage in Unifying Families According to Community Culture Salukanan and Its Implications for the Toraja Church Salukanan Churc. Rongkong Sabbang Baebunta Class. Guided by Ps. Drs. Daud Sangka ’P, M.Si. as one mentor, and Rev. Yekhonya F.T. Timbang, M.Si as the two mentor. This title was chosen because the author saw a problem in culture Ma ’kundai ’i that is about the meaning. The author sees that the Salukanan people are just doing culturema’kundai’I without knowing what the true meaning of culture is Ma ’kundai ’i. The problem is what theological meaning is about, Ma’kundai’i for the Salukanan community and its implications for the Toraja Church Salukanan Church, Rongkong Class, Sabbang Baebunta. Based on the results of the study it was found that the theological meaning contained in culture Ma ’kundai ’i is proof of love expressed through responsibility, appreciation, respect and love. The meaning of love in the form of loving God with all my heart, love family by building communication in a harmonious relationship and loving fellow humans. Ma’kundai’i full/contain the same meaning in Christian marriage as a wisdom from God to feel joy and happiness in expressing expressions of gratitude to God for both partners who have been united in holy marriage. Based on the discussion and research conducted by researchers in the field, the researchers left suggestions, among othersdt is expected that the bride's two families will understand the meaning theologically about Ma ’kundai’i T and done right.To understand the culture, they must continue to study cultureby following the event Ma ’kundai ’i and always ask the elders of the community. It is expected that the Salukanan people, especially for members of the Toraja Church of Salukanan, will maintain their customs and culture if customs and culture are still relevant and in accordance with the truth of God's Word.For courses on society and culture, it is increasingly deepened like the Customary and Cultural courses because most students studying at STAKN Toraja will be oriented in Service in the community, especially within the Toraja Church.
