Abstract
ABSTRACT Elmiyanti Rete Nirm 2020154242 with the title "Theological Analysis of the Assistance of the Church Assembly for Adulterous Communities in the Church of Agriculture, West Rantepao Classics". Thesis Department of Christian Theology State College of Christian Religion (STAKN) Toraja, 2015. Supervisor (1) Dr. I Made Suardana, M.Th, (II) Yosef Patandung, M.Pd This title was raised to remember and pay attention to problems that occur in the life of the church. Where there are some members of the congregation who commit adultery, but here the author sees the assistance effbrts made by the church council for members of the congregation. Here the author analyzes theologically in order to answer the problems experienced by members of the congregation in accordance with the formulation of the problem, namely how the assistance that should be assembled by the church assembly for adultery members. In the Bible it is said that adultery violates God's moral law as revealed in the ten laws as found in Exod. 20:14 "Do not commit adultery". Adultery has a very serious and permanent impact, as in 2 Sam. 11: 1-17; 12:14, the adulterer will suffer shame all his life (Prov. 6: 32-33). According to the Old Testament says that do not commit adultery because God loves purity and purity, for that must stay away from all defilements. So, the point is not to tamish yourself with the defiled or to indulge in the lust of the flesh. The research method used in completing this paper is a qualitative research method whose data acquisition is done through interviews, observations and literature studies. Literature study and field research are used in order to link library materials with the topic being studied. Which has been carried out from the end of May until the beginning of June the research carried out at the Toraja Church of the Penanian Church, Klantepao Barat Klasis. This research is intended to find out and describe the assistance made by the church council in the form of visits that have been done in the congregation. As well as the efforts or actions that have been carried out by the church council to be able to assist the members of the congregation who commit adultery. The lack of assistance provided by the church council in the form of visits to members of the congregation directly involved in the case of adultery, and the absence of other actions taken by the local church council in terms of solving any problems experienced by members of the congregation.
