Abstract
ABSTRAK Elmi Norma, 2020175042, menyusun skripsi dengan judul “Tinjauan Teologis Panggilan Majelis Gereja dalam Mengajar Sekolah Minggu di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Lengke’ Klasis Basse Sangtempe’” dibawah bimbingan Novita Toding, M.Pd dan Ice Novita Triana Lolon, S.S., M.A. Penulis mengangkat judul ini berangkat dari keprihatinan terhadap masalah yang terjadi dalam kehidupan jemaat secara khusus dalam lingkup Sekolah Minggu. Sekolah Minggu di Jemaat Lengke’ jarang melaksanakan ibadah Sekolah Minggu. Hal tersebut terjadi karena kurangnya guru Sekolah Minggu dan kurangnya perhatian dari Majelis Gereja. Dari beberapa Majelis Gereja, hanya satu orang yang memberi diri dalam pelayanan Sekolah Minggu dan Majelis Gereja yang lain mengabaikan hal tersebut. Sebagian dari Majelis Gereja belum memahami akan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai pelayan Tuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tinjauan teologis panggilan Majelis Gereja dalam mengajar Sekolah Minggu di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Lengke’ Klasis Basse Sangtempe’. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara pengetahuan dan pemahaman, Majelis Gereja mengetahui dan memahami tentang Sekolah Minggu dan peran dalam pelayanan Sekolah Minggu. Akan tetapi dalam prakteknya, pelayanan terhadap Sekolah Minggu terkendala karena kurangnya kesepahaman antara Majelis Gereja dalam melakukan pelayanan Sekolah Minggu. Kondisi ini bertentangan dengan Firman Tuhan dalam Kisah Para Rasul 20:28 yang menggambarkan seorang gembala dalam hal ini Majelis Gereja yang telah ditetapkan Allah untuk menggembalakan umat-Nya dan harus menjaga keberadaan jemaat. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, perlu adanya pembinaan Majelis Gereja dan warga jemaat yang mau memberi diri melayani Sekolah Minggu. Kata kunci: panggilan, majelis gereja, sekolah minggu ABSTRACT Elmi Norma, 2020175042, compiled this thesis with the title of “A Theological Review of the Vocation of Church councils in Teaching Sunday School at Torajanese Church of Lengke’ Congregation Klasis Basse Sangtempe’” under the supervisions of Novita Toding, M.Pd and Ice Novita Triana Lolon, S.S.,M.A. The author appointed this title due to the concem for a problem arising in the congregation, particularly in the scope of Sunday SchooL The Sunday School in the Lengke’ Congregation is rarely carried out owing to the lack of Sunday School teachers and attention from the Church Councils. Of the several Church Councils, only one person had a sincere dedication to Service the Sunday School while the others ignored it. In addition, some of the Church Council did not understand their duties and responsibilities as servants of God. This study is, therefore, aimed at describing the theological review of the vocation of the Church Councils in teaching Sunday School at Torajanese Church of Lengke’ Congregation, Klasis Basse Sangtempe’. This study used qualitative research methods through observations and interviews. The results showed that in terms of knowledge and understanding, the Church Councils knew and understood about Sunday School and their roles in Sunday School Service. However, in practice, the Service to Sunday School is hampered because of the lack of understanding between the Church Councils in carrying out Sunday School Services. This condition contradicts with the Word of God in Acts 20:28 describing a shepherd, in this case a Church Council, who had been appointed by God to shepherd His people and had safeguard the existence of the congregation. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to foster the Church Council and congregation members who are willing to dedicate themselves to serve Sunday School.
