Abstract

ABSTRAK musik Strem Bass di Jemaat Pambe. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan fakta yang jelas, akurat dan faktual mengenai eksistensi alat musik Strem Bass di jemaat Pambe, serta memaparkan beberapa kendala yang dihadapi jemaat sehingga alat musik ini tidak digunakan dalam peribadahan ketika sinode Gereja Toraja Mamasa sudah memberikan ruang bagi jemaat-jemaat dalam naungannya untuk dapat melaksanakan peribadahan sesuai dengan budaya dan bahasa setempat dimana jemaat itu berada. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif yaitu mendeskripsikan awal mula alat musik Strem Bass dikenal di masyarakat hingga dapat menjadi alat musik yang digemari di Jemaat dan masyarakat, serta kendala-kendala penggunaannya dalam ibadah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara yang melibatkan beberapa majelis gereja Jemaat Pambe dan pembuat serta pemain alat musik Strem Bass. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa alat musik Strem Bass memiliki kedudukan yang istimewa di masyarakat dan jemaat Pambe melebihi alat-alat musik modem. Eksistensi alat musik strem Bass juga memenihintiga tahapan eksistensi menurut Kieerkegaard, yakni eksistensi estetis, etis, dan religius. Jemaat pun berkerinduan menggunakan alat musik ini untuk mengiringi nyanyian jemaat. Namun karena segala keterbatasan dan yang ada hal itu belum dapat direalisasikan. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis menemukan kendala utama yang menyebabkan alat musik Strem Bass tidak dapat digunakan dalam ibadah sehingga tidak dapat merealisasikan liturgi model IH, liturgi bernuansa lokal. This research aims to obtain clear, accurate andfactualfacts regarding the existence of the Strem Bass musical instrument in the Pambe congregation, as well as explaining several obstacles faced by the congregation so that this musical instrument is not used in worship when the Toraja Mamasa Church synod has provided space for the congregation in its auspices are to be able to carry out worship in accordance with the local culture and language where the congregation is located. This research is descriptive in nature, namely describing the beginnings ofthe Strem Bass musical instrument being known in the community until it became a popular musical instrument in the congregation and society, as well as the obstacles to its use in worship. The research method used is a qualitative research method with observation and interview techniques involving several Pambe Congregation church councils and makers and players of Strem Bass musical instruments. The results of this research show that the Strem Bass musical instrument has a special position in the Pambe community and congregation more than modem musical instruments. The existence of Bass strum musical instruments also fulfills the three stages of existence according to Kieerkegaard, namely aesthetic, ethical and religious existence. The congregation also longs to use this musical instrument to accompany the congregation's singing. However, due to dll existing limitations, this cannot be realized. Through this research, the author discovered the main obstacle that caused the Strem Bass musical instrument to not be used in worship so that it could not realize model III. liturgy, a liturgy with local nuances.
