Abstract

ABSTRAK Jeni Pasalli’. “Perubahan Eksistensi Musik Karombi di Sesean Suloara’, Toraja Utara” (Dibimbing oleh Admadi Balloara Dase, S.Th., M.Hum. dan Zefanya Sambira, M.Pd.) Musik karombi, sebagai salah satu bagian penting dari warisan dan identitas budaya lokal di Sesean Suloara’, Toraja Utara telah mengalami perubahan eksistensi dalam konteks modernisasi dan globalisasi. Penelitian ini hendak mendeskripsikan perubahan eksistensi musik karombi di Sesean Suloara’, Toraja Utara dengan menggunakan teori eksistensi estetis, etis dan religius dari Soren Kierkegaard sebagai sudut pandang peneliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitaif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan terjadinya perubahan dan kehilangan unsur eksitensi estetis, etis dan religius dalam musik karombi antara jaman dahulu dan masa kini. Kedua, terlihat pengaruh modernisasi yang mempengaruhi kurangnya minat generasi muda terhadap musik karombi. Kata Kunci: Eksistensi, Karombi, Toraja ABSTRACT Jeni Pasalli'. "Changes in the Existence of Karombi Music in Sesean Suloara', North Toraja" (Supervised by Admadi Balloara Dase, S.Th., M.Hum. and Zefanya Sambira, M.Pd.) Karombi music, as an important part of the local cultural heritage and identity in Sesean Suloara', North Toraja, has experienced changes in existence in the context of modernization and globalization. This research aims to describe changes in the existence of karombi music in Sesean Suloara', North Toraja using Soren Kierkegaard's theory of aesthetic, ethical and religious existence as the researcher's point of view. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The results of the research reveal changes and loss of elements of aesthetic, ethical and religious existence in karombi music between ancient times and the present. Second, the influence of modernization can be seen which has influenced the younger generation's lack of interest in karombi music. Keywords: Existence, Karombi, Toraja
