Abstract

ABSTRAK Metode konseling dengan teknik Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) dianggap sebagai salah satu cara yang tepat dalam membantu pasien mengatasi gejala PTSD dan mengubah pemikiran serta sikap mereka secara rasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan konseling CBT dalam mengatasi gangguan mental PTSD pada pasien di Rumah Sakit Umum Lakipada Tana Toraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Informan terdiri dari pasien, keluarga, dan dokter yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisa data dilakukan secara interaktif dan terus-menerus untuk menarik kesimpulan sesuai tujuan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa efektivitas pendekatan konseling CBT terhadap penderita gangguan mental PTSD di Rumah Sakit Umum Lakipadada belum optimal (belum maksimal). Hal ini dikarenakan minimnya tenaga medis yang tersedia pada bagian psikiatri, sehingga banyak teknik CBT yang tidak dapat dilakukan. Selain itu, pasien/klien juga membutuhkan pendekatan dari sisi rohaninya, yang dapat diberikan melalui pendekatan konseling dengan dasar konseling kristen dalam penerapan teknik CBT. Dukungan keluarga juga merupakan faktor penting dalam proses pemulihan pasien/klien. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya peningkatan jumlah tenaga medis dan penggunaan pendekatan konseling yang holistik untuk dapat meningkatkan efektivitas intervensi pada pasien/klien PTSD di rumah sakit tersebut. Kata Kunci: PTSD, CBT, Gangguan Mental, Pasien, RSU Lakipada Tana Toraja ABSTRACT Counseling methods using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques are considered as one of the right ways to help patients overcome PTSD symptoms and change their thoughts and attitudes rationally. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the CBT counseling approach in dealing with PTSD mental disorders in patients at Lakipada Tana Toraja General Hospital. This study uses a qualitative method. Informants consisted of patients, families, and doctors selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through library research, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out interactively and continuously to draw conclusions according to the research objectives. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the effectiveness of the CBT counseling approach for sufferers of PTSD mental disorders at Lakipadada General Hospital was not optimal. This is due to the lack of medical personnel available in the psychiatry department, so many CBT techniques cannot be performed. In addition, patients/clients also need an approach from a spiritual perspective, which can be provided through a counseling approach based on Christian counseling in the application of CBT techniques. Family support is also an important factor in the patient/client recovery process. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the number of medical personnel and use a holistic counseling approach to increase the effectiveness of interventions for PTSD patients/clients at the hospital.
