Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendokumentasikan tentang pola ritme atau irama, tempo, tanda birama, ketukan kuat dan ketukan lemah, sinkopasi,dan aksen, kemudian mendeskripsikan fungsi atau kegunaan ma’lambuk dalam upacara adat rambu solo’ di Kaero, Sangalla’ Selatan, Tana Toraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnomusikologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pada subjek penelitian, peneliti meminta bantuan pada beberapa informan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Pengujian Keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber dan membercheck. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu ma’lambuk dalam rambu solo’ memiliki tempo moderato dan tanda birama campuran yaitu 6/8, 3/4, dan 9/8 dengan aksen berat disetiap ketukan awal. Ma’lambuk dalam rambu solo’ dimainkan oleh 8 orang wanita dan memiliki 6 jenis pukulan atau pola ritme yaitu ma’lambuk, mangrepe, ma’gollen, mangindoi’, ma’sangbarai’, dan tumbuk penduan. Fungsi ma’lambuk dalam rambu solo’ yaitu fungsi komunikasi, fungsi simbolik (lambang), fungsi respon fisik, dan fungsi kelangsungan budaya. Kata kunci : Pola Ritme, Fungsi, Ma’lambuk, ABSTRACT This study aims to document the rhythm or rhythm patterns, tempos, rhythm signs, strong and weak beats, syncopation, and accents, then describe the function or usefulness of ma'lambuk in the traditional ceremony of solo signs in Kaero, South Sangalla', Tana Toraja. This study uses a qualitative research method with an ethnomusicological approach. Data collection techniques are literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. In the research subject, the researcher asked for help from several informants. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The validity testing of the data used is source triangulation and membercheck. The results of this study are that ma'lambuk in solo signs' has a moderato tempo and mixed rhythm signs, namely 6/8, 3/4, and 9/8 with heavy accents at each initial beat. Ma'lambuk in solo signs' is played by 8 women and has 6 types of strokes or rhythm patterns, namely ma'lambuk, mangrepe, ma'gollen, mangindoi', ma'sangbarai', and tumbuk penduan. The function of ma'lambuk in solo signs' is the communication function, the symbolic function (symbol), the physical response function, and the cultural continuity function.
