Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi rendahnya keaktifan belajar siswa (62,5%) pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen kelas XI Akuntansi SMKN 2 Tana Toraja. Kurangnya partisipasi siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor seperti kurangnya variasi model pembelajaran, ketergantungan pada peran guru, dan rendahnya tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa. Teori dasar yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model pembelajaran think pair share dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa, sesuai dengan konsep dari Shilphy A. Octavia. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan tujuan agar minimal 60% dari total 16 siswa dapat mencapai standar keaktifan belajar yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran think pair share. Pada pra-siklus, hanya 37,5% siswa yang mencapai standar minimal, sementara pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 56,25%, dan pada siklus II mencapai 75%. Ini menegaskan bahwa model pembelajaran yang diimplementasikan berhasil dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan model think pair share efektif untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa, menekankan pentingnya penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dalam konteks pendidikan. Kata Kunci: Keaktifan Belajar Siswa, Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Think Pair Share ABSTRACT The research was conducted to address the low level of student engagement (62.5%) in Christian Religious Education in the 11 th grade of Accounting at SMKN 2 Tana Toraja. Factors contributing to low student participation include limited variety in teaching methods, excessive dependence on the teacher's role, and low student self-confidence. The underlying theory guiding this research is that the think pair share teaching model can enhance student engagement, aligning with the concepts of Shilphy A. Octavia. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the goal that at least 60% of the total 16 students would achieve the set Standard of engagement. The results showed significant improvement following the implementation of the think pair share model. In the pre-cycle phase, only 37.5% of students reached the minimum Standard, increasing to 56.25% in cycle l, and reaching 75% in cycle II. This underscores the success of the implemented teaching model in enhancing student participation in Christian Religious Education. In conclusion, the use of the think pair share model effectively stimulates student engagement, emphasizing the importance of selecting appropriate teaching methods in the educational context to achieve desired outcomes.
