Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penggunaan media gambar berdasarkan teori Edgar Dale terhadap hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa kelas III SDN 25 Mengkendek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui Teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar di SDN 25 Mengkendek belum terlalu maksimal karena masih ada siswa belum terlalu memahami. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa belum terlalu lancar dalam membaca, gaya belajar siswa yang berbeda-beda seperti gaya belajar audio, visual bahkan disebabkan juga oleh faktor penggunaan media gambar yang kurang bervariasi, tetap disatu sisi penggunaan media gambar cukup baik karena sebagian besar siswa sudah mengerti atau lebih mudah memahami materi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar berdasarkan teori Edgar Dale di SDN 25 Mengkendek belum terlalu maksimal dikarenakan guru pendidikan agama Kristen menggunakan gambar yang ukurannya kecil, sehingga masih ada siswa kurang memperhatikan pembelajaran dengan baik. Selain itu, media gambar yang digunakan oleh guru kurang bervariasi dari segi warna, tetapi disatu sisi penggunaan media gambar berdasarkan teori Edgar Dale cukup baik karena sebagian besar siswa sudah mengerti dan lebih mudah memahami materi pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar; Media Gambar; Ranah Kognitif; Teori Edgar Dale Abstract The aim of this research is to analyze the use of image media based on Edgar Dale's theory on learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of class III students at SDN 25 Mengkendek. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method. Data collection in this research was through interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this research indicate that the use of image media at SDN 25 Mengkendek is not yet optimal because there are still students who don't really understand. This is because students are not yet very fluent in reading, students' different learning styles such as audio and visual learning styles are even caused by the factor of less varied use of image media, but on the one hand the use of image media is quite good because most students already understand or easier to understand learning material. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of image media based on Edgar Dale's theory at SDN 25 Mengkendek is not optimal because Christian religious education teachers use images that are small in size, so there are still students who do not pay attention to learning properly. Apart from that, the image media used by teachers is less varied in terms of color, but on the one hand, the use of image media based on Edgar Dale's theory is quite good because most students already understand and understand the learning material more easily.
