Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini muncul dari pengamatan langsung terhadap kurangnya kepercayaan diri siswa kelas X. Tujuannya adalah mendeskripsikan peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Guru bimbingan dan konseling berperan penting dengan mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan bakat dan minatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumen dengan delapan informan: satu kepala sekolah, satu guru bimbingan dan konseling dan enam siswa kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa di SMK Tiranus Rantetayo sebagai motivator, mediator, pencegahan, pembangun karakter, dan pengembangan. Beberapa peran guru bimbingan dan konseling belum maksimal dilakukan seperti mediator dan pencegahan karena informan belum menggunakan teknik yang bervariasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah kepercayaan diri siswa. Kata Kunci: Guru Bimbingan Dan Konseling, Kepercayaan Diri ABSTRACT This research emerged from direct observation of the lack of self-confidence of class X students. The aim was to describe the role of guidance and counseling teachers in increasing students' self-confidence. Guidance and counseling teachers play an important role by encouraging students to develop their talents and interests. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, documents with eight informants: one school principal, one guidance and counseling teacher and six class Tiranus Rantetayo as a motivator, mediator, prevention, character builder and development. Some roles of guidance and counseling teachers have not been carried out optimally, such as mediator and prevention because informants have not used various techniques in solving students' self-confidence problems.
