Abstract
ABSTRAK AYU ANJANI TAMMU. Mengatasi Tantangan Pembelajaran Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus: Strategi Pembelajaran Dalam Pendidikan Inklusi Di Generation For Christ School (dibimbing oleh Alfrida Lembang dan Yanni Paembonan).Penulis mengangkat judul skripsi ini berdasarkan masalah yang ditemukan di Generation For Christ School bahwa bahwa guru menghadapi kesulitan dalam menyampaikan materi ajar yang sesuai dengan berbagai kebutuhan ABK. Kurangnya sumber daya seperti guru terlatih, dan materi ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan ABK. Selain itu, ketidakstabilan emosional pada ABK juga menyulitkan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam mengatasi tantangan pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) di Generation For Christ School dalam pendidikan inklusi. Beberapa strategi yang diterapkan guru meliputi: menentukan program berdasarkan kebutuhan anak, variasi perencanaan, konsistensi rutinitas, melibatkan semua anak, menyediakan alat permainan yang aman, menggunakan media konkrit, dan papan bantu komunikasi. Temuan menunjukkan lima strategi utama: memahami kebutuhan belajar anak, variasi metode pembelajaran, penanganan tantangan spesifik seperti tantrum dan hiperaktif, pemberian tugas dengan pendampingan khusus, serta peran interaksi dengan teman sebaya. Strategi ini membantu guru mengatasi tantangan dalam menerapkan pembelajaran inklusi, seperti komunikasi dengan ABK, penyediaan materi ajar, dan desain kurikulum yang inklusif. Overcoming Learning Challenges for Special Needs Children: Teaching Strategies in Inclusive Education at Generation For Christ School (supervised by Alfrida Lembang and Yanni Paembonan). The author chose this thesis title based on issues identified at Generation For Christ School, where teachers face difficulties in delivering teaching materials that meet the diverse needs of special needs children (SNC). There is a lack of resources, such as trained teachers and appropriate teaching materials for SNC. Additionally, the emotional instability of SNC complicates the teachers' tasks. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The study aims to identify the strategies teachers use to overcome learning challenges for SNC in inclusive education at Generation For Christ School. Some strategies implemented by teachers include: designing programs based on children's needs, varying lesson plans, maintaining consistent routines, involving all children, providing safe play materials, using concrete media, and providing communication boards. The findings reveal five main strategies: understanding each child's learning needs, varying teaching methods, addressing specific challenges such as tantrums and hyperactivity, assigning tasks with special assistance, and fostering peer interactions. These strategies help teachers address challenges in implementing inclusive education, such as communicating with SNC, providing suitable teaching materials, and designing an inclusive curriculum.
