Abstract

Andre Yusuf Biu (2020229131). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna teologis syair lagu pengakuan dosa dalam PKJ 37 “Bila Kurenung Dosaku” berdasarkan prinsip Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Pa'biteran Klasis Tallunglipu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi lapangan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pendeta, majelis jemaat, serta anggota jemaat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PKJ 37 dipahami sebagai doa pengakuan dosa yang menolong jemaat menyadari keberdosaannya, menghayati pengampunan Allah, dan membangun relasi yang lebih dekat dengan Tuhan. Pengalaman spiritual jemaat saat menyanyikan lagu tersebut menunjukkan adanya refleksi diri, pertobatan, dan penerimaan kasih karunia Allah. Selain itu, syair PKJ 37 membentuk kesadaran iman jemaat mengenai dosa, pengampunan, dan pembaruan hidup. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PKJ 37 merupakan manifestasi Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi karena berfungsi sebagai sarana doa sekaligus pembentuk iman jemaat, meskipun penghayatannya perlu terus diperdalam agar tidak menjadi rutinitas liturgis semata. This study aims to analyze the theological meaning of the lyrics of the confession of sin hymn in PKJ 37, "Bila Kurenung Dosaku" ("When I Ponder My Sins"), based on the principle of *Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi* at the Toraja Church, Pa'biteran Congregation, Tallunglipu Classis. This research employs a qualitative method with a field study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving pastors, church elders, and congregation members. The findings reveal that PKJ 37 is understood as a prayer of confession that helps the congregation recognize their sinfulness, experience God's forgiveness, and develop a closer relationship with God. The spiritual experiences of the congregation while singing the hymn demonstrate self-reflection, repentance, and the acceptance of God's grace. Furthermore, the lyrics of PKJ 37 shape the congregation’s faith awareness regarding sin, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal. This study concludes that PKJ 37 is a manifestation of Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi because it functions not only as a prayer but also as a means of nurturing and strengthening the faith of the congregation, although its appreciation must continually be deepened so that it does not become merely a liturgical routine.
