Abstract
Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menelaah strategi kepemimpinan yang dipraktekkan oleh Gereja KIBAID Klasis Mangkutana dalam upaya meningkatkan ekonomi jemaat. Fokus utama yang diteliti ialah bagaimana strategi kepemimpinan gereja dapat memberdayakan ekonomi para anggotanya di Gereja KIBAID Klasis Mangkutana. Kerangka konseptual yang dipakai mencakup teori pemberdayaan, teologi diakonia transformatif, teori pemberdayaan ekonomi jemaat, serta teori kepemimpinan gereja yang menekankan kepemimpinan pelayanan dan kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui telaah literatur, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap para pemimpin serta jemaat Gereja KIBAID Klasis Mangkutana. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan ekonomi jemaat belum terlaksana secara optimal karena masih terbatas pada inisiatif individu dan belum dijadikan program kelembagaan yang terstruktur. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan gereja yang kontekstual, partisipatif, dan transformatif sangat dibutuhkan agar gereja dapat mengangkat jemaat dari ketergantungan menuju kemandirian ekonomi, sekaligus mewujudkan kesejahteraan jemaat secara spiritual, sosial, dan ekonomi. ABSTRACT This study aims to identify and examine the leadership strategies practiced by the Mangkutana Classis KIBAID Church in an effort to improve the congregation's economy. The main focus of the study is how church leadership strategies can empower the economic well-being of its members in the Mangkutana Classis KIBAID Church. The conceptual framework used includes empowerment theory, transformative diaconal theology, congregational economic empowerment theory, and church leadership theory that emphasizes service leadership and empowering leadership. This study adopted a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through literature review, interviews, observations, and documentation of the leaders and congregation of the Mangkutana Classis KIBAID Church. The findings indicate that the congregation's economic empowerment has not been optimally implemented because it is still limited to individual initiatives and has not been made into a structured institutional program. The conclusion of the study confirms that contextual, participatory, and transformative church leadership strategies are urgently needed so that the church can lift the congregation from dependence to economic independence, while simultaneously realizing the congregation's spiritual, social, and economic well-being.
