Abstract

Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi permasalahan di SMAN 8 Tana Toraja, di mana siswa kelas XI mengalami kesulitan dalam perencanaan karir, kurangnya informasi, dan cenderung memilih karir berdasarkan popularitas atau pengaruh teman, yang seringkali tidak sesuai dengan minat dan bakat mereka. Selain itu, salah satu guru BK di sekolah tersebut belum memiliki latar belakang pendidikan Bimbingan dan Konseling namun bertanggung jawab atas layanan BK . Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kompetensi pedagogik guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam perencanaan karir siswa kelas XI di SMAN 8 Tana Toraja . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen utama, serta pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diuji menggunakan triangulasi sumber, membandingkan pernyataan guru BK dengan testimoni siswa dan pengawasan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru BK secara konseptual berada pada kategori 'cukup', namun implementasinya masih kurang, terutama dalam penggunaan alat ukur terstandar yang intuitif dan keterbatasan variasi metode layanan serta kolaborasi dengan orang tua atau Masyarakat . Kata Kunci : kompetensi pedagogik, Guru BK, Perencanaan Karir, Siswa kelas XI. ABSTRACT This study identifies problems at SMAN 8 Tana Toraja, where eleventh-grade students experience difficulties in career planning, lack of information, and tend to choose careers based on popularity or peer influence, which often do not align with their interests and talents. Furthermore, one of the guidance and counseling teachers at the school does not have an educational background in Guidance and Counseling but is still responsible for providing BK (guidance and counseling) services. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the pedagogical competence of the Guidance and Counseling teacher in career planning for eleventh-grade students at SMAN 8 Tana Toraja. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with the researcher as the primary instrument, and data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested using source triangulation, comparing the statements of the BK teacher with student testimonials and the principal's supervision. The results of the study indicate that the pedagogical competence of the BK teacher is conceptually in the "sufficient" category, but its implementation is still lacking, particularly in the use of intuitive standardized measurement tools and the limited variety of service methods and collaboration with parents or the community.
